Visiting Molly!

We took a trip out to North Pole tonight to visit Molly. It was great! We met her two brothers and her sister, as well as her mom Noodle and her grandma Goldie. Come to find out, Rio, Molly's dad, lives in Texas! The Young's chose him as the sire based on his credentials, temperament, and health. Noodle was artificially inseminated!! The puppies are all doing GREAT and Sherri says that they are all very big for their age. We get to bring Molly home on May 7th!!!

Add ons

Other potential activities we are looking at are a horseback ride through Denali National Park and renting bicycles for a trail ride. This is shaping up to be quite a trip.

Change of Plans

Well, since Molly is set to join us for our Denali vacation in June, we had to change our plans somewhat. The cabin we were previously staying in does not allow pets, so we had to switch cabins. We are now staying at the Alpine Cabin ran by Denali Grizzly Bear Resort. This cabin is super nice but is about six miles out of town. So we are now driving down instead of taking the Alaska Railroad. Check out the link to our new cabin!

Molly!

We are about to receive a new addition to our family....take a look at Molly! Molly is a yellow Labrador who turns four weeks old on Wednesday. We are getting Molly from Last Frontier Labradors, a local hobby breeder in North Pole. She is three weeks old in these pictures. We will get to bring her home when she turns eight weeks old, on May 14th!!! We can't wait!!! Molly's parents are Rio (a black lab sire) and Ramen. We're looking forward to bringing her home!

Vacation

We booked our vacation for the first week of June. We will be taking a train to Denali State Park, where we rented a cabin for 3 nights, and made reservations for a white water rafting trip. The area provides many other options from which we will have to pick and choose from for the rest of the time. Cant wait, should be a great time.

FINALLY!

Our first glimpse of the yard! It is 50+ again today, and the ice has melted very quickly. I actually cannot wait to water and mow the grass.

Nothing new!

Well, it's about time I posted something on here! Justin is always complaining that I never post anything. Not too much is happening. Break-up has started...that means the snow is melting! We actually see the ground now, which is wonderful. It was 50 degrees today! Justin has been in a class for the last two weeks on biometrics. He is now certified to collect forensic evidence from crime scenes in Iraq. Not just collecting evidence, but collecting evidence in combat scenarios, even if they are under fire. They did scenarios for the past two days where they had to collect evidence from a scene in ten minutes or less. He has come home every day covered in black fingerprint dust!

This past month was very busy at work. And school is extremely busy! I go to Anchorage again for classes on the 24th. I am driving this time which I love to do. It's a six hour drive but only a 40 minute flight! That doesn't matter to me though cause the drive is so beautiful. My partner and I have to present our research project to faculty and students in the school of social work. I am dreading that!

Well, other than that, not much new is happening here! We'll post again soon!
