Open North Championship

Tara and I went to the Open North Championship Dog Sled race this weekend. They have been doing this race for 63 years. The race begins in downtown Fairbanks and they close off the streets so the teams can race through town. It was pretty fun to watch!

First Baby Furniture

Tara and I successfully put our first piece of baby furniture together last night...Gracie's dresser and changing table! I filled it up today with Gracie's clothes and blankets. We still have the crib to put together, but I think I will save that for Dad!

Molly's 1st Birthday

Last night we celebrated Molly's 1st Birthday! Molly's friend Oscar and a few of my friends came over to celebrate. Molly got lots of presents...a couple of chew toys, a new ball and two bones. It was lots of fun!

This weekend we went to the Chatanika Days 30th Annual Outhouse Races. Tara, Josh and Christina participated in the Human Ice Bowling Competition. Here is Josh pushing Tara. The knocked over 7 pins! Go Tara!

Ice Fest 09

This year the Ice Fest was excellent! It was definitely cold though. The ice sculptures were awesome and Tara had fun going down the giant ice slides!

Moose!

Last night we were sitting in the living room and there went a Mama moose and her two babies walking down the street. We followed them and got some great shots of the Mama eating off our neighbor's tree.

Snow of '09

This winter we received the largest amount of snowfall since 1970. We had over a foot of snow fall. Josh and Christina have had to help dig out our truck about three times already. Here are some shots of Josh, Christina and Tara shoveling the driveway.

Ice Dogs

Friday night we headed out to the Ice Dogs hockey game. It was a very eventful game with LOTS of fights! We won in overtime 3 to 2. Go IceDogs!
