Made it back from the field Monday evening. We got back to Fairbanks about 5pm and Katie came to pick me up when I called her about 6pm, thinking we would be done soon. Little did we know that our weapons turn in would be made 10 times harder than necessary and we didnt get home until after 10 o'clock. It did however provide Katie with the opportunity to see the Northern Lights while she waited. We havent seen much activity out of them this winter. As far as the field goes, it was good. It is nice to actually do some real training instead of just busy work. I recieved two personal critiques while in the shoothouse: 1) Not leaving enough targets for the rest of my team following behind me 2) Being too rough with the "non-combatant" dummies to get them on the floor. If they aren't going to understand english, defer to the universal language. Get put on the floor or get shot... decisions, decisions. The Platoon Sergeant said that both were positive. All in all, it was a good time. However, we were denied our free time in Anchorage so I did not get my Arby's. Cant win 'em all.

Hey, can't complain about those critiques! Bummer you didn't get to Arby's, though!
